Obsessed with the hide.
100% selected Japanese leather.
Even within a single hide, density varies from one area to the next. Our craftsmen judge by eye and hand which areas can be used, mark them, and cut them out. This step is what removes variation in feel.
The same stroke returns the same result: not a surprise, but exactly what you expect. We control density and thickness tip by tip, designing variation out from the start.
Material selection, lamination, forming and inspection all happen at our own factory in Hiroshima. Because not a single step is outsourced, we control quality from end to end.
We test, refine and decide together with players competing on the world stage. Everything is proven in competition before it reaches this catalog.
Cross-reference your discipline with how you play. Cells marked ◆ are your candidates. Choose hardness and diameter on the next page.

Every product page in this catalog follows the layout below. See the note matching each number.
The stamped face shows the hardness (e.g. M) and the diameter (e.g. 14 mm). Use the photo as a reference for actual color and texture.
Shows the disciplines the product covers, such as pocket or carom. A bold frame marks the recommended discipline.
The name of the product.
Lists hardness, diameter, height, weight and material, together with the available colors. See the key below for how to read each item.
Four steps: SS (softest) → S → M → H (hardest). Softer tips are more elastic; harder tips excel on power shots.
* Excludes Snooker and Pyramid tips.
Tip diameter in mm. Choose to match the tip diameter of your shaft.
Thickness of an uninstalled (new) tip. The figure varies with hardness.
* Listed heights are representative values (medians) from 100 measured pieces. As natural leather is used, slight variation between pieces occurs.
The material and construction of the product. For tips, the type of leather and the number of layers.
The core series behind every shot you play. Choose by discipline, by the contact feel you prefer, and from four steps of hardness.
The flexible upper layers absorb the impact; the rigid lower layers transfer energy with minimal loss. Separating the two roles inside a single tip delivers a stable feel and high rebound at the same time.
The flexible upper layers first absorb the shock concentrated in the shaft.
A slight deformation at the moment of contact keeps you on the point you aimed at.
The rigid lower layers turn the absorbed force into spin and speed.
A KAMUI tip is a laminate of pig leather or cow hide, stacked one sheet at a time. Natural leather varies in thickness and fiber density, so we never stop selecting and never stop measuring.
Leather is a natural material: thickness and fiber density differ from hide to hide. KAMUI selects only the areas within standard and leaves the rest unused.
Selection and total control converge material variation onto the center of the spec. Same grade, same feel on the next tip you install.
Designed for the single hardest hit of the game. A 15 mm, 7-layer build that limits deformation and minimizes contact-point deviation.
The more break power a tip transfers, the harder it becomes to place the cue ball. SAI combines pig leather and resin in a new process, reaching a hardness beyond that of conventional leather tips while keeping spin exactly where you want it.
Minimal power loss; the ball runs straight on the line you aimed at.
Impact escapes; both speed and landing point scatter.
The other contact point, working between tip and cue ball. Four lines, each with a different coefficient of friction. For every discipline.
Tools that keep your condition constant: moisture on the hand, dirt on the shaft, damage to your tip. All of it exists for repeatability.
KAMUI products are sold through authorized dealers and distributors in each country. Because prices vary by region, they are not listed in this catalog. Find your nearest dealer using the Dealer Locator on our official site.
